LICENSE BUREAU
Clerk: And how old are you, Mrs. Thornapple?
Gladys: I am in the forty-to-sixty age group.
Clerk: This is an application, not a survey - I need your exact age!
That age group really ages her. I would take my real age, in her case about 46, or somewhere thereabouts, and say, “I’m in the 26 to 46 age group” or for breathing room, 27 to 47.
.Now it’s a game of price is right, closer to 45 or closer to 55?
So Mrs. Thornapple is illiterate? Must be why she’s not filling out her own license application. These clerks are MUCH too busy to do our paperwork for us LOL. I’d guess with Wilberforce being about 10 or so, she’s no older than 45-50.

Yes, she should take out her I.D. and show her.

“Old enough to know that I’m a woman and that it’s not polite for you to be asking me that question!”

I guess the DMV/MVA people are oft math-challenged (they can always figure the age from the birth-date).
