Man: Hello, this is your bank. Cuco: Oh, you mean the bank that paid zero in taxes last year and got one billion in taxpayer money? Man: Yes, I need five more dollars if you use your debit card.
To be funny, a strip should have SOME resemblance to the truth. B of A paid income tax, unlike 47% of workers who paid NO income tax. I’m sure Lalo was one of those 47% who do not pay federal income taxes. (If that’s a lie, then it’s certainly as funny as Lalo Alcaraz’s lies).
I called and was told I wouldn’t be getting charged for using my debit card. Interesting. May still yank my money in protest for those who will be charged……………..
David McQueen was probably railing against banks & the bailout along with the rest of the Tea Party. The bailout worked. The banks have repaid the money we gave them. That’s good. That’s how it was supposed to work.
We need to put sensible limits on what banks can do with OUR deposits. Instead we have the GOP arguing that the banks should be able to make money any way they see fit, including things like gouging their small time customers.
I hope more people close their accounts at B of A. If they get away with this, the other big banks will soon follow.
BWT, 47% of people don’t pay income taxes for two reasons:
1.) The don’t make enough money.2.) Deductions for children.
Does the “pro-family” GOP plan to take away the deductions for children?
And lest anyone think Ms. Fitts is a flaming liberal like me :-), I would point out that she served as Assistant Secretary of Housing in the first Bush administration.

I love how David McQueen never returns to back up his dribble.
