Frazz by Jef Mallett for November 07, 2011
Transcript:
Mr. Burke: Rough finish for the football team. Frazz: I have mixed feelings about playoffs. They guarantee every team but one ends a great season with a loss. Mr. Burke: You lost to one-third of the field at the seneca stampeded and didn't seem to require therapy. Frazz: Stuff like the stampede is my therapy. Mr. Burke: There's that. Frazz: Also I beat two-thirds of the field. Plus whoever didn't show up.

Thanks, fear-ciuil, that’s right nice of you…I really like Frazz’s logic here, (even though it kinda contradicts what he says at the beginning…). Whenever something is going wrong in my life, some irritating problem….. I think, well, I’m still better off than at least 6 billion other people in the world right now…Why should I get upset? In fact why ain’t I a grateful sum b!tch?

Thanks, fear-ciui. That is kind of you to put that link in there.Varnes, you hit the nail on the head, I think. Gives me something to think about today while I’m plodding through my day at work.

Absolutely agree with Frazz on this one. Playoffs are a scam to get more money from the mindless, who never seem to realize how silly it is to give any kind of championship to a .500 club.

I only ever entered one mountain bike race. Won, so why enter anymore? My friends wanted another go at me, but……

Play up, play up and play the game. I’d rather be a good loser than a bad winner.
