Arlo and Janis by Jimmy Johnson for January 17, 1996
Transcript:
Arlo works on the computer. He exclaims, "This financial program is great! It enables us to plan ahead.." Arlo notes, "See? We're going to be overdrawn by the end of the month." Arlo tells Janis, "So, we'll roll all our pennies, and that should get us by!" As they actually roll their pennies up in paper, Janis remarks, "Why don't I feel better about this?"

I remember in the 80’s I would cash my paycheck at the bank and purchase a bag of half dollars. $200 or $250 worth. I would then look through them for the silver content. Walking out of the bank with canvas money Bags was like a bank robber in a cartoon.
