Love her first line, though. I’ve said similar things.

Poor little clueless pumpkinhead doesn’t realise he blew it OR that he’s been given a second chance.

He’s too blindsided by her charms…. which, apparently, even he doesn’t think include beauty.

Oh, and @ Fritzoid from yesterday — actually I agree with you, of course.

I was just running with your idea of using Shakespearean English, suggesting a slight update of a couple of centuries.

But no language is static, nor should it be.

French is certainly not static. It takes on new words (many from English, Arabic and Japanese) all the time.

English language is not static. The French we learn in school is Parisian, which mean we can’t communicate with that other Belle province. And France wants to do away with all non-French words in use in their country.

    Jadoo, mon petit hot-dog

LOL….. as the womble points out, French does change, however hard it kicks and screams en route.

Even L’Académie has to admit a new word now and again — and has never been able to stomp out Basque, Catalan, Corsican et al.

Hunter, I make a lot of typos, so what I do is hit ctrl A and ctrl C before I post, to copy my text, which also preserves any code like line breaks, etc.

Then if something is amiss in my post, other than, you know, it just being wrong or inane, I can quickly delete, paste, correct and re-submit.

    And ….um … Shady…. I hope (sniffle) you didn’t mean I was being supercilious….
