If you’re a Dinette Set reader. you might agree that the gas giant is Burl Penny.

And for the second time in the last hour I agree with Frumdebang — this time, it’s to echo, “great avatar, Radish.”

Of course, the next person may wonder what it was, since you change them so often.

Fortunately, in space no one can hear you or smell you.

Gas giants have too many moons. Uranus’s are exposed, but its neighbor Saturn them. The big one, I don’t know where’dju put ’ers.

The gas giant is always asking the other planets to pull his peninsula.

Radish – more on your avatar, the hit of the day. I was listening to some streaming music on the ol’ iMac and Michael Jackson’s “Jam” came on. The strong beat of the song synched perfectly with your avatar. And Michael enters our little chat from beyond the grave. Creepy, but entertaining.

All we need is Buck Rogers, Wilma Deering and Dr. Huer.

In panel 8, Dr. Mel shows us the dark rings around Uranus.÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷I like the curved-edge Superman symbol here; I think it looks a lot better than the straight-edged version because it’s less rigid.

What’s that in the far upper right, next to the word “over”? Either a typo or a 2001 monolith invasion.

The brown dwarf must have gotten too close to the gas giant.

Stephen G — I noticed that too, though not the first time I read that speech balloon.

Obviously we’d better keep an eye on it, in case it’s a monolith seed.

If it sprouts it could burst the bubble, the strip, and then the GoComics site.

And Radish — we know. But most people don’t draw their avatars.

You get credit for your good taste in finding, choosing and posting it.
