“If you are a registered lobbyist, enter your registration number now, and the Representative will be with you immediately. Otherwise, stay on the line; your patience and gullibility are very important to us.”
Just got back from a long weekend in DC with my oldest grandson. Thanks to Representative Andre Carson’s office we got a tour of the White House and one of his staff members took us and two other constituents on a guided tour of the Capitol. With the exception of one person who snapped “no” when I asked if she knew where a tour bus stopped (I thought she was kidding until I asked again and got another “No”) everyone in DC was really friendly and helpful. (I admit I didm’t run into any Republican politicians.) Being from NJ originally, I really was pleasantly surprised.
Even though my local “Representative” is a bit of an idiot, well more than a bit, he DOES have some pretty good staff members who actually end up our REAL “representatives”, as they’re usually more knowledgable, and do accomplish more than the “Rep” hisself.

Pretty close to the truth. And if Cosmo does get to talk to a Representative, it will be like talking to the wind.

That recording should say your call is unimportant to us.

Mention that you want to make a donation, and you’ll be put right through.

Actually, it’s the Senate that could use a little prodding.
