I just read that more people are dumping their cable, etc., and going back to rabbit-ears to save money.

Rabbit-ears won’t hack it….it’s a UHF signal and it requires the round (loop) thingy you see on most tabletop antennas. Shoe’s coathanger is almost that loop………….

Ashburn: and if you had any number of added channels, it wouldn’t matter, as they would have nothing to watch. Does PBR mean Public Broadcasting Revolt or merely more bull?

So many TV’s in the landfills of the country… what were we thinking?

This one hit home. I was just fine with my lovely old magnavox, “hanger” antenna, and life with two channels but after the third converter box died, I was forced to “upgrade” to a flatscreen. I don’t care how big these things get, they cannot compare with the magnavox for a quality picture or trouble free service. I do have more than the drycleaner channel available now but it’s not that big an improvement.
