@DenaOberski, from yesterday.Re: Sharing on FB. The problem is the default address for this strip always points to the current day’s strip. Use the arrows or calendar icon above the upper right corner of the strip to go back one day, then forward one day to the current day’s strip. This will cause the address in the browser’s address bar to point to the date of the current day’s strip. You can then share this on FB and it will always point to the strip you want.
Ah, at one time, just a frisbee throw away from Isla Vista Beach just outside UCSB campus. Then school started and the rent tripled. Just too cool to go hang out on the bluff above the beach at midnight and watch the waves glow from the algae doing the bioluminescence thing. Then there was this mattress, and that girl upstairs…..
We lived by the beach for about 2 years, it’s not all that great. You can’t get a gallon of milk on the weekends because of all the tourist stocking up their condos. Go out to eat and it’s a two hour wait. Plus everything costs more. Did I mention visitors? We can still get to the beach in an hour & a half, we go once or twice a year.
Methinks this is an issue with Gene’s generation, not just Gene personally. Most of the lusers chasing my daughters don’t appear qualified to do much of anything beyond going for a new high score in Call Of Duty.
Believe me, Gene, you learn along the way. I sucked in Shop, but over the years I’ve got a lot better & built a shed & house for my kids’ cats in the backyard. My wife wants me to build a treehouse before the weather changes too.

Such a pity that your English teacher didn’t do as well.

The beach is about:1) Being able to see the sun rise or set;2) Appreciating the force and life of the sea;3) Having a boundless open space.
But you already knew that.
