I recognized an old seeing-eye dog that has been retired. hadn’t seen that dog in years. The lady who owned it is in the local nursing home and the dog is living out her retirement years in a low income housing with a friend.
My daughter still misses the beagle that a stupid neighbor let loose one day while we were out. The beagle was hit by a car and killed. She was 3. That was 11 years ago and she still talks about that dog. Love is forever.
A co-worker works with PADS. He trains the puppy for the first 2 years, then they “graduate” to more intense training. Well, the puppy graduates, the co-worker gets another puppy.

I agree with Clivia! – Besides, my Pepito is jealous of his own shadow :)

Well, gosh, it does have an expiry date. Our last one expired after 16 years.
