Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for February 21, 1998
Transcript:
Nate: I've written a poem to help cope with the pain of my breakup with Angie. Francis: Lemme see. Francis: You said you liked me quite a lot, but now I find you like me... NOT! Your fickle ways can't be excused. You dropped me like a Kleenex (used). Oh, how unfair! How very cruel of you to break The Golden Rule. You seemed to say: "hey, what the heck! I'll dump Nate Wright for Dan Labreque!" Nate: It's not easy to make a rhyme out of such a shattering emotional trauma. Francis: Thank goodness she didn't dump you for Gregory Koszelichuk.

I have to say, the poem was impressive considering his mental state.
