Nate says, "Mrs. Shipulski, is Principal Nichols back yet?" Mrs. Shipulski says, "He's gone all week, Nate." Nate says, "So the school has no Principal for a whole week?" Mrs. Shipulski says, "Of course not. Mrs. Godfrey is the acting Principal." Nate says, "Wha-? Mrs. Godfrey? How did that happen?" Mrs. Shipulski says, "Nobody else wanted to do it, so she volunteered." Nate thinks, "Suddenly her master plan is becoming sickening clear." Mrs. Shipulski says, "Are you all right, Nate? You look ill."
