Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for September 28, 1997
Transcript:
TEDDY: What a game! Five to zip! NATE: Yup! I was amazing out there today! FRANCIS: We all were, Nate! It was a team victory! NATE: Yeah but who's the star of the team? Me! I was a stone wall! I stopped everything they sent my way! FRANCIS: But the rest of us scored five goals! NATE: So what? It all starts with goal tending! Let's face facts guys: as goalie, I am the backbone of the team. FRANCIS: Wedgie. NATE: No! Hey! Help! FRANCIS: For a backbone he's surprisingly spineless.

Well, nate’s right there because the goalie is indeed the most important and underrated player. It’s harder to be a goalie than a striker(btw i am a midfielder)
