well nowadays, an average inground pool costs around 25,000, including average water bills for a year, so it’s safe to assume Nate’s dad is part of the working class

honestly if i was nates dad i would just drop the money and buy the damn air conditioner, i mean yeah its something you would only use a few weeks a year, but at least then you would HAVE it and be able to use it every year, seems like it would be worth it to be a little tight on money for a month or so if it meant you would literally never have to worry about suffering every year ever again
