If a leaf falls in the forest and there isn’t a cartoonist/letterer to draw the sound effect, does it make a sound?

Do ants hear? Amazing sense of smell, if one finds food the rest will follow the trail ‘til it’s gone. I have several species in my yard. There were some large, furry, purple ones with big heads, that cleaned up any of the owls’ leftovers quickly. Their hill seems to have been taken over by equally large smooth brown ones, also with big heads, that collect seeds. Small black also harvest seeds. None of the above come in the house. Medium sized red with black butts collect crumbs & cat-food. Small red with black butts are belligerent. Nearly microscopic ones clean up the cat’s lizards, when they quit moving & aren’t fun anymore. Never seen indication that ants can hear, though the cat likes Otis Redding.

They say timing is everything.@ChukLiti….yes ants are amazing creatures. My daughter did a science project one year, an ant farm. When one dies they actually have a burial ground for them…truly amazing to watch them work.

If a man makes a statement in the woods and there’s no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

Why don’t we all leaf it alone and enjoy the comic awhile.
