Oh they can tolerate the word,its the people they can’t stand. I served 20 years in the Army and we knew some troops where gay male and female. For the most part neighter side made a fuss about it.We all did our duty and moved on. In th 4 1/2 years in vietman it was the same. You knew who you could trust to have your back when the defactecaton hit the ventulation, gay or not.
He meant the term as a “bad thing”. No matter what side of the “gay is ok …or not” debate u r on. Using a term that is used to describe a group of people…as a “bad word” isn’t right. Ever hear the phrase “That’s mighty white of you.”? It’s inteded to mean whites are better/more polite than anyone else….In the imortal words of the Great One….words meen things. Treating others with basic decency isnt politicaly correct…its just right.
The PC police are being completely demonstrated in this comic. We now know how totally stupid the PC police are … and the education system is complicit with them. Sigh …
Think “gay” is trouble? Try using the olde English word “niggard”. Then when they go berserk, shove a dictionary in their faces to prove it was a word long before England even SAW a Negro.
Maybe they’re “happy” because even minimal display produces response from interested partners.“Nig,” on the other hand, merely indicates a poor grasp of Latin languages.
As far as I’m concerned, suspension doesn’t really do anything. The kid isn’t going to learn anything by being kept out of school other than he gets out of going for a while.
I remember a line from an OLD book we were reading in English class: “Throw another faggot on the fire.” (Most people will probably have to look that up to see what it means!)
