My cousin Denise used to be a fairly large woman (to put it politely) and did a similar thing. She got hit by a 2CV, which was declared a total loss after and got away with just a broken clavicle.
Funny. My smart car hit a deer a couple of years ago – killed the deer, & I drove home. My wife’s minivan hit a SQUIRREL and had to replace her windshield.
