And the book report, it too will be wishy-washy.

If I start writing now, when I’m not really restedIt could upset my thinking, which is not good at allI’ll get a fresh start tomorrow, and it’s not due ‘til WednesdaySo I’ll have all of Tuesday, unless something should happen.

Why does this always happen? I should be outside playingGetting fresh air and sunshine; I work best under pressure.

(From “You’re a good man, Charlie Brown”, the musical.)

Hey, I know it’s just a comic, but I find this one sad because it’s clear that Charlie Brown’s parents show no interest in his school work. He’s totally on his own. IMO, it’s vital that a parent check and/or correct a child’s homework every day. Not because the parent can’t trust the child but because it provides guidance and shows interest and involvement in the child’s education. Doing this or not doing this will change the course of the child’s entire life. Off soapbox!

Charlie Brown’s parents should help their son become more motivated.
