Frazz by Jef Mallett for May 10, 2001
Transcript:
"If a Farmer Festus can milk 32 cows in one hour, how many cows can he milk in an hour and 15 minutes?" "I'm sorry, Mr. Burke. I just can't do story problems!" "Really? Try this." "Jeff Gordon's Chevrolet leads Rusty Wallace's Ford by 32 seconds after 60 laps at Talladega. At that rate, what will his lead be after 75 laps?" "Duh! 40 seconds!" "Wasn't that 'culturally biased' there, Burke?" "You make it sound like a bad thing."

I love it! Long afterwords, “Foxtrot” did a similar gag, with Peter taking Paige’s “impossible” math question and refiguring it to shopping at the mall. She got it instantly…but didn’t realize that she had answered the original question.
