Obviously Zeli Rossi never goes on holidays or was dead keen to make it into Ripley’s.

In Sweden, the word “elk” refers to the same animal that are called “moose” in the US and Canada.

If I remember the elk story correctly, it was eating apples that were still on the tree and had fermented. Ergo, the cause of its inebriation.

Again, I wish this guy would use items that weren’t just in the news within the past 5 years. Sheesh.

She must have been awfully close to that friend to sleep in a coffin to honor her. I bet that elk had an awful hangover the next day!

A lot of ruminants, including cows, have digestive systems that ferment sugar into alcohol. They love it, so you have to try and keep them away from it or they’ll swallow a bunch of them whole and perhaps kill themselves. The biggest, ugliest Black Angus bull I ever saw, was just a big baby around my dad… who would feed him a few apples from time to time from a tree too wormy for people to eat from. He’d shout for “Apple Jack” and Apple Jack would come as fast as he could lumber to take apples from my Dad… one at a time, and never more than around eight small apples.
