Yes, they still use erasers. However, there are very few chalk boards anymore. Now they are mostly white boards with markers. And then there are the smart boards that interact with computers. I guess time marches on.
I am old enough to remember writing on a Blackboard, which was made of slate. Easy to erase, and lasted forever. Ah, the good old days.
