I liked the little sign in bottom left corner. FORTRAN, well, a variant of the the original ‘50s version, is still in use…My brother was a mainframe programmer in the ’80s & ’90s.I’m surprised the ‘toon doesn’t mention pencil & paper?
Apparently the great “test” – “oopsed” yesterday? That’s okay, Condoleezza’s “mushroom cloud” set off by those evil folks at PBS will be a warning! More “terror at work”?

In the 1950’s it was CONELRAD. Since the Sixties it was the EBS. It only became the EAS recently.
