Obviously, this was originally intended for Thanksgiving. My bet is it was pushed back a week by the insertion of the interlude with Panda, BB Eyes and the “members of the board,” and Blaze Rise’s parting shot for Flaky Biscuits.Speaking of holidays, Junior knows what to give Tracy this Christmas – another red and black necktie.
The story line is the best, the art & writing is the best, the dad / son moment is the best too. Who would of thought that a simple Dick Tracy cartoon would have this much personality? Thanks guys! While I am thinking about it, Det.DanDone, Be careful move slow and watch for snakes. Let’s all pray for those that are in law enforcement.
And the Laws of the Cartoon Universe are upheld: the hero always has a narrow escape, and the Dark Lord always gets away. I’m pretty sure it’s in the contract: “The Party of the First Part (hereafter referred to as the Dark Lord) agrees to abandon the Party of the Second Part (hereafter referred to as the Hero) in a Trap of Death from which escape is possible, in consideration of which the Hero agrees that the Dark Lord shall not be found immediately after the escape. This contract may be terminated by either party terminating the other party.”
Glad I found this site.. it’s been too long since I’ve read the adventures of Detective Tracy. I’m glad that they keep referencing all the old villains and storylines, tho I am a bit “put off” by the artwork. Is Joe Staton drawing it or writing it? Because I recall Mr Staton’s artwork to be at a higher level than what is here. Still tho.. I’m lovin’ me some Dick Tracy!
Do you need back-up to take a drunk home? What I am worried about is the fact that Kadaver has a Wrist Wizard. That could become very troublesome, or very convenient.“Sam, locate my homing signal, find my Wrist Wizard and we find Kadaver. If we are lucky, he will lead us to his employer.”“I am listening to all of your radio conversations, Mr. Tracy. I have already turned off the homing beacon, and I am sure my employers will be very happy to receive the latest device from Mr. Smith. Since I have not completed my contract, we will be seeing each other again. See you soon Mr. Tracy. BWAaaa Ha ha.”
