To the tune of “Cat’s in the Cradle” My gal and I’ve found the M-G-C Arriving on an airscout from the new P-T But there are mutt attacks and kills today We’re learning fast we might not leave that way They were climbing up the rocket And as they’d reach the door I’d say “You’re gonna be one more gone I hate to have to kill one more” And the mutts on the rocket And the airscout too Little by little More coming in view When we going home, Holly? Don’t know when Will we have an airscout then, gal? We might not have a way out then Well my Holly opened the M-G-C She’s putting in the card that she got from me Could we close it and go? We’ve got to get away We getting overwhelmed, all we can do is pray And as I shot another I’m grinning in fear and said I don’t wanna die right here, gal We both aren’t gonna die right here And the mutts on the rocket And the airscout too Little by little More coming in view When we going home, Holly? Don’t know when Will we have an airscout then, gal? We might not have a way out then (to be continued…) =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum
If you’ll permit me to drop out of my customary style, here: The artwork of Endtown is consistently of high quality, but there are several very nice features today. The camera angles work very well, from the camera view originating near Holly’s hand, providing detail of the card to the inside and outside view of the battle. And we can see, also, another method for the MUTTs to get at them. In Panel 4 at the upper right, you can see two mutts in mid-air, one just leaving his perch, as they use themselves as living projectiles to deal with the threat. More of them are lined up, ready to drop — and we see the creature on the airscout communicating. We’ve seen that the Topsiders are able to use that same language to command the mutts, but in this case I cannot help but wonder what it is saying. Perhaps something like: “We who are about to die insult you!” =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum
Tonight’s forcast: Continuing showers of diving mutts, may be heavy at times, making airscout travel hazardous. Mutants are advised to remain indoors (unless “indoors” is a topsider rocket which might have been recently reprogrammed for either an early launch or imminent self destruction.) Extreme caution is advised.
no, you don’t actually see WHERE she put the chip. in panel 1, she looked at the mgc panel, and in panel 2, she replaced a chip, but you don’t see which slot. the fact that there was a row below it, though, suggests it was not slot 20, which WAS on the bottom row.
Looking again. In the first panel she has a chip in her left hand, near slot 20. In the second panel, she has a chip in her right hand and is putting the chip in her left hand into a slot. It does look like her left hand is higher in the second panel and that there is another chip just below it.
So, yes, she probably put the chip into slot 1 as she was supposed to.

Funny. She was supposed to replace the card in slot 1. It looks like she replaced the card in slot 20.

rvonluchen has a point about that slot 20 thing. Just looked back a few dayys and Wally definitely said “Slot 1”…
