The End is Near – what? I can’t see the end…I keep looking…

This provides the explanation for the “millipede” strip of last week. The ants are in mortal fear of death from a falling leaf (though I’ve never seen that in reality). When the leaf killed the line of ants, it appeared to have been a longer species of insect.

poor ant, I wish autumn could just leaf him alone.

For a devoted Xian strip, the recurrent “End” must be an interesting mind-juggle. It likely is, after all, a point of view…

They could just leaf the winter zone and find somewhere nice and warm.

Not funny, I don’t get it.
