Most kids didn’t talk with their parents BEFORE there was an internet. Unless it was to ask for money.

Oh, and the entire on-line culture is changing so rapidly, it’s hard to say what it’ll be like in 5 years. With Skype and Facetime, our kids to a LOT of actual talking with friends – more than even a year ago – just not physically present. We have a girl attending our youth group via Skype these days (from 3 states away!). Not sure that all technology alienates us always.
