And this is why I don’t want a dog. I love them and think they’re sweet, but I have no patience for the “find the perfect spot” For the dog owners out there, can this be avoided somehow (training, just keep moving and they’ll learn to do business faster, anything?)?
Mine frequently doesn’t stop moving long enough to make a single pile. I’ll find half here and half over there. In her own backyard though. When we walk she almost never deposits that and I carry a bag if she does.
@lightenup:Sure there are ways to get the dog not to look for the perfect spot. Routine is good, walk the same way every time, at approximately the same time. Make sure not to go home straight away when they’ve done their business, as they then hold on to it to stay out for longer.Make a fuss when they do their thing, give them a small treat! The older they get the more they get like us.. they just want it out of the way so they can go home again to the nice warm spot they left behind :)

Most that walk past my house have a cell phone to their ear. Dogs have to be pretty big9 or not leashed to stop
