This one’s a puppy – you can tell by the disproportionately large head. All puppies try your patience. Now, as to small dogs – I must defend at least some. I have one, and while some are yappy and annoying, mine doesn’t bark, but he’s absolutely clear in letting you know what he wants just using his eyes and tail. He never nips at anyone, never chews anything he’s not supposed to and not even on Thanksgiving with hors d’oeuvres on a coffee table did he attempt to nab any. His only problem is that he thinks he can chase deer and skunks.

Combine an unexpected, shrill bark with a scary book and you’ll jump right out of your seat!

That guy’s rather jumpy!

The book is about (or written by) Charles Schulz of ‘Peanuts’. Perhaps our guy is shocked to find out that dogs actually bark, unlike Snoopy?

A bit late — sorry — but in case anyone comes back —
I think this is a tribute.
Nov 26th is Charles Schulz’s birthday!
The couch has a zigzag like Charly Brown’s shirt and the book is probably a biography of Schulz.
Maybe the pup just saw Snoopy.
