I never name my animals right away. I wait for me to tell me their names. No not audibly I just know their name after a while. And I have never had a cat, who are notorious for not coming when they are called. ignore the name once given.

I’ve NEVER seen a cat come when called by their name. There is NEVER any reason to even give a cat a name.
