Kids are rotten.

So true. One of the classic Peanuts cartoons was one which showed Charlie Brown walking around his neighborhood and being insulted and laughed at by his “friends.” He goes home and turns on the radio to hear a man saying “And what is more beautiful than the innocent laughter of little children?” and runs over and kicks the radio.

Well that wasn’t nice of Nate.

To BAH!:Not all kids are rotten or bad, or terrible in anyway. You are probably just saying that because you are a rotten and alone person. And don’t forget that YOU were once a (so called “rottten kid”). And now that you think about it, which one is the real rotten one? you or kids? i choose you

How old is Nate’s house? It’s been decades and decades since those old steam radiators were used in houses.

I wonder how old Nate’s dad is. Did he lose his hair to age or stress?

Reminds me of a recent stand-up act I heard. The guy talks about how people say “I slept like a baby”and the comedian ultimately comes to the conclusion “No, you slept like a person with no kids!” (December 17th podcast of CBC Laugh Out Loud)

Ahhh, an old-fashioned radiator that still works!! Dad stretched out on the sofa reading. A botched Xmas present. And fragments (if only!!) of the beloved Waaaaaahahahahahalaughter!! Better than Currier & Ives!! Lincoln, ya dun goot!!
