It’s so true of heavily preserved foods. Years ago, I did grounds work for the school board while in university. We dug up a dead shrub at a school, and under were a convenience store plastic-sealed sub sandwich and a Twinkie; both looked almost edible, even though the best before dates on the packaging were years earlier.
