Thrift stores are good, and you usually are helping a good cause, but garage sales are better and the best is to beat the trash pick-up. You can find some really good stuff, household items, furniture on the side of the road. But for clothes, the Salvation army has the best. Had a friend that outfited her wedding at thrift store. No joke, and it was awesome.
I got my London Fog coat for $4. I’m not griping about that! I don’t think it had ever been worn from the condition of it. My daughter buys 80% of my grandsons clothes at the thrift store. Makes no sense to pay top dollar for something he will out grow in 3 months.
When I walked out with a bag containing $40 worth of thrift shop finds I didn’t know I needed, I realized there might be a problem. Quit cold turkey. Hello, my name is…..

Yup – just cuz it’s got a designer label doesn’t mean it’s worth 300% more.

High end shopping at the thrift store. I bet that’s something like Building 19 and the Christmas Tree Shop!!

Good will is a great store, a lot less than the SALvation Army, they want an arm and a leg for used stuff

In today’s economy? Nothing wrong with Thrift Stores, and Goodwill has SOME GREAT buys!
