Don’t take the wrong way. I LOVE this cartoon. I just lived the cartoon. You can see for yourself…http://www.cagle.com/2009/03/dan-reynolds-using-humor-to-fight-my-tumor/
Hey, Dan. I’m glad you can find the humor in my toon in light of what you’ve been through. Since no one is sure what’s in chicken nuggets it’s possible that he only needs his tonsils out. best, your bud and fan, glenn :)
Lingee whiz…I’m good now. Been in remission for a couple years now.
Glenn,I was finding the humor in it when it was going on. You have to in order to get to the other side of it (well, not the OTHER side…) Prayer and cheer.I’m living proof God has a sense of humor. Giving a cartoonist testicular cancer provides him with loads of gag fodder. You may think me saying this nightmare was a blessing, but in many ways it was. I would need a book to explain it all, but I learned the power humor has in reaching other people in healing, let alone myself. One of my favorite stories of this period was when I was being carted down the hallway on a gurney towards the wating room. I had just had a dangerous procedure in order to get a biopsy sample of the cancer (it was located in my inner, inner gut. There were a lot of major arteries and whatnot that a misstep by the doctor with the long needle could have had me bleed out. My wife was very nervous (and so was the doctor because this was the SECOND time I came in for the procedure as the machine he used had malfunctioned the last time!). ALmost to the door, I asked the nurse to pul the sheet over my head and wheel me into my wife with a sad look on her face. She almost spit on herself with LOL and then she hit me, and said she would not do that! I thanksed her because if she had I would have definitely last my fight as my wife would have killed me before the cancer got me.
Glenn, if you went to that site and saw the Mr. Peanut toon I did…I actually did that the DAY they removed one of my boys. Seriously.

The good news is that they won’t be sold at McDonalds. Their nuggests don’t even have anything resembling chicken in then.

When I was in the Navy, we always called the docs " Pecker Checkers."………… Hmmm.
