Blaming me for your wet cheeks is like me blaming you if I was to “wet” the seat. I’m responsible for lifting the seat, you are responsible for…. your own…..er……backside.
My mother trained me to lower the seat and close the lid. I find it amazing that men complain about performing that simple courtesy for the females in their lives.
Old batchelor. sometimes a bit clumsy or unsteady. Small ‘necessary’ room. I would assure any and all, young and old, that seat AND lid down – is very helpful and has saved a lot…
I guess I should clarify. I try, when women (or children) are in the picture, to leave the seat down. My point is, that if they should “fall in”, it isn’t my fault that they didn’t look before sitting. I bought into that for years before I realized that I was being blamed for their inattentiveness.
