Aw one foster mom gave her foster son hot sauce on his tongue. For lying. The foster mom video taped what she did and sent to Dr. Phil for extreme parenting. She got charge and went to court for child abuse.

Soap worked REAL GOOD back in the 40’s and 50’s when I was growing up.

Soap for lying was my dad’s method. Maybe too extreme, but more appropriate than a belt. And I lost my taste for lying.

Wash the soap first under the faucet to get any nasties off — or use a new bar. If your state has namby-pamby laws, then think of something unique that has yet to be legislated against by the state thought police.

Yes some parents in America use soap (my sister has), some use a belt. I’m sure this happens all over and it’ll keep happening unless someone in authority stops it.
krisl73 about 13 years ago
It’s not a normal thing to do in America nowadays.

Lying isn’t just a phase they go through, it just gets worse with age.
QuietStorm27 about 13 years ago
I think people still do the soap thing and a lot worse in America but they have a “what happens in the house, stays in the house” rule.
