I do it the easy way… 1 part store bought eggnog 2 parts brandy sprinkle with nutmeg, and go go go.

The spirits are useful for something besides haunting, I guess.

Because, regardless of the author’s beliefs, the era he is setting his characters in was well before the Christian era (B.C.E., or more simply BC.) AD doesn’t work because it places the characters as drawn and written in an anachronistic environment. The same is true for Year Zero, as they are placed millions of years after that time. It isn’t a religiously themed cartoon. Don’t take it personally.
