Neither one really gets what they expected, not even from this deal. If either of them wants this relationship to be anything beyond a cynical business arrangement It would have to come from mutual respect and not a small amount of honesty. Something that might be not be possible for either of them.
I see this a little differently. It almost seems as if Pierre and Donna are beginning to appreciate each other for what they are. It would be funny if this actually grew into a relationship despite themselves.
