You’d think Tim Tebow was the first athlete ever to exhibit signs of devotion in public. BTW – if you’d ever bothered to watch an interview with the guy, he has explained over and over he isn’t trying to pray up a victory. He’s just thanking his God for the blessings He chooses to bestow, win, lose or draw. Pretty disgusting, right? I mean, how dare he?
I’m reminded of the story about the baseball player who crossed himself before coming to the plate for each at-bat. When he was asked if he was praying for a hit, he said, “No, I’m praying that I don’t GET hit!”
