Today’s strip is a real nice follow-up to yesterday’s. And once again, Joe’s art is perfect.

Nope, those are their real names. Sparkle Plenty-Tracy, married to Junior Tracy, who is Dick Tracy’s adopted son. Sparkle is the daughter of B.O. Plenty and Gravel Gertie.Honeymoon “Honey” Tracy daughter of Junior Tracy and his first wife Mista “Moon Maid” Tracy (killed in a car bomb explosion), she was born in the Space Coupe halfway between Earth and the Moon.

Just think, a year ago we were in the midst of the “storm of the century” and Dr. Mordred…http://www.gocomics.com/dicktracy/2011/01/11

Oh, wow! A live visit from Son of Spike! And his dad, too. Honeymoon’s day is made, whether tomorrow is a Snow Day or not. Nice of the Smiths to visit!

What a thrill for Honeymoon. Sparkle has a lot in common with their guests, having been a music star herself.

Whoa Scuttlebutt – great thought! I was just merrily enjoying these two days of family warmth and didn’t even consider a set up like that!

It’s great to have a real page-turner of a Tracy once again.

“Mista Moon Maid?” How did I miss that? When did Moon Maid get a name?

    May I ask for opinions?

I’m after some Tracy novels, and have seen some reviews that the ones that sorta unofficially follow the Warren Beatty film – and can you believe that’s 22 years old this year? – are some of the better ones. Has anybody here read them lately?

I love the art today – I can really feel the mood of a cold, snowy day, sitting by the window and watching those big flakes falling.

Having said that, isn’t there something a little odd about the way the snow is piled up on the window panes in panel one? It gives the illusion that the snow is INSIDE the house, to me.

Honeymoon reminds me of our little girl with those big blue eyes and all, the only problem is that our little girl is now a grown woman almost 30 with a family and career and not a whole lot of time for mom and dad.

Must say, gentlemen. First time I got a good look at Sparkle since you rebooted the strip. She’s as lovely as she was in the 70s. Well done!

And yes, this old Tracy fan, now reads 2 strips a day. A B&W only version, and this one, to get the reader’s comments. The storyline is a real seller. :)

A few things1. Yes I remember that Sparkle sang on Spyke Dyke’s TV shoe under the guidance of Vitamine Flintheart and the 2 of them were mennaced by TV Wiggles (could he have been related to video pirate Splitscreen).2. What was the story behind Dr Mordred3. And finally, why did they change Spyke’s last name to “Smith” in stead of “Dyke”??

Well, maybe if she did not sit so close to the window, her lips would not turn purple.

Moon Maid’s real name was “Mista”? How did I miss that? But I always wondered what her real name was. And what about her father? I only remember him being called “Moon Govenor” and nothing else.

Nice domestic scene. I read Tracy in the early 70s, and I remember plenty of snowy days. Gould excelled with those, and Staton is doing great as well. Any plans for Peanutbutter? As I recall, he mostly just got kidnapped a lot, but I was the same age as he in those days, so I enjoyed following along.
