I needed to get away from the auto repair shop yesterday and wondered what happen to the lost art of hitchhiking. 25 years ago you saw thumbs out a lot. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a hitchhiker.

Been there. Stopped to help some strangers in my K-Car. 8 of them came from a broken Cavalier. Cop said “You don’t have enough belts.” I asked what I should do and he said, “I’ll leave before you do.”
