@gimmickgenius is on the money. Gotta lighten up Ruiz a li’l bit. Altough there are many shades of Latina, she’s too much like Marcy in the dailies. I’m on it!

My Sundays are colored by me personally. My dailies are done by a colorist at my syndicate, who follows a set of rules I established before Ruiz was introduced into the strip. Don’t blame the colorist, I neglected to lay down the law when I brought her into the line-up. In 2012, she will be the complexion of the strip that ran on Christmas Day.

I forgot to boast of having colored ONE daily strip myself. It ran on December 13, 2011. It was fun, and got a really nice reception from readers, but MAN did it take a long time!!

Crunchy, drop the expression “the wife”. It’s makes her sound like a thing. I want to hear Ruiz refer to “the husband.”
