Really, Coach Kaz? I can take your tattoo? Because it appears to be attached to your arm you lunkhead. Now stop trying to be Robert Plant circa 1978 and get some jeans that fit. Who’s giving Kayla the mind meld in P2?
@Kadedee, marcusliviusdrusus and Goshen: I do think a professional illustrator, cartoonist, whatever shouldn’t have basketballs the size of a beach ball one day and a cantaloupe the next. That being said, none of these criticisms is meant seriously. I thought this was a site for former class clowns to have some fun making wisecracks. Everyone who posts on this site loves Gil Thorp or we wouldn’t read it every day, even the guy who keeps wondering where the Thorp kids are. I’m only reliving my youth, much like Wildcat Maris — except that I wasn’t all-state.
Wow, Taz’s right arm was inked in last week’s strip, so maybe he ran down to Milford Ink and got the left arm done. Either way, once again Taz has come up with a reason to flex them guns in front of people one more time.
It seems too many previous head trauma’s have affected Kaz’s ability to count. Last week he had ONE tat. Guess it moved to his left arm. Cortez likes the goggle look so much he wears it in the locker room.
We go through this discussion once every six or eight months. Critical comments here are all in fun — without them, we’d all have to take a tat storyline seriously … my God, don’t let me end up there. I think through it all we all love our Gil — we keep returning to it every morning!
@Kadedee, et al; if you like the strip, read the strip and enjoy. If you don’t like the comments, don’t read the comments. Or would you rather all comments be routed through you for approval before being posted?
To all: commenting like this about our beloved Gil has a rich tradition….back in the days before the internet (yes, there was a time like that!) many of the guys in my office back then (say, mid 1980’s) used to crack on the strip just like we do now. No disrespect intended, Gil just seems to bring out the class clown, as someone earlier said.Agree with Uncle Kaz, keep ’em coming, glad I found this site!
Thanks to Lureman, TArbiter and everyone for the morale boost after the tongue-lashing I received yesterday. And congratulations to Gilfan for noticing that Kaz’s tattoo jumped from one arm to the other. I’m insanely jealous.

Ooo, Kaz, really? I can take it? Terrific!
(sound of a chainsaw firing up)
Just hold that meat pole you call an arm straight out, and the excruciating pain will last for just a moment …
ZZRRRRRP
Gosh, sorry … I lied about the pain, didn’t I?

The tat stoyline is a subplot fo something grander. Playdowns? Beecher’s recuitment to college? Mimi posing for a men’s mag?

So where are those Thorp kids, anyway?

I think we’d all be down with this plot line if Molly got a tramp stamp.

@zipperg – Your last statement is totally ridiculous. They should all be routed through ME for approval.

@kdizzle, that was kind of a hanging curveball, wasn’t it?
jalthomas almost 13 years ago
Kaz’s used to be a barbed wire but since steroids increased his arm size it now looks like Morse code.
