meh RIta’s nromal for most of management, I assisted many different Department heads and Night shift Supervisors when I did factory work and alot of folks start out thinking the way the average joe does they just gradual get to where they think like management, alot of it is product of the atmospere of the job around them and stress to want to keep the job they have
I dated a girl who was somewhat like Rita…..when we were on vacation out of state, she would always try to sneak away for a few minutes to call in to see how things were going….and i kept telling her “Let your boss play with them a while…that is what SHE gets paid for!”
Yeah, the whole bottle theme is definitely working here. Would’ve been funny to see a baby with a bottle too. I thought the same thing about the eggnog, but isn’t it brandy? Oh well . . .
But if Rita retiires, who will she have to manage? .oh, silly me. Rita will just have the gang at the office come to her. Put a whole new spin on teleworking.
@scott roberts: You have to love a cartoonist who will explain the backstory of the strips. Thanks for being accessible and keep up the great work… I really enjoy Working Daze and look forward to it daily. Happy New Year to you and John Z

Yeah… I can’t conceive of that, either.

OK – what’s in those bottles?
BTW – very nice looking tree.

I wonder what gene codes for those bottles. They must be hereditary!

And ya gotta wonder . . . what happened to “Dad”? But I’ve only been reading for a couple years now.

Rita’s dad, or the father of her kids? Her ex has never been introduced into the strip.

They’re all out at the Olive Garden.

The ex has been talked about but never seen. Just as in real life I don’t believe I ever saw “Rita’s” hubby.
