Looks a bit like Naomi in the face. As I recall from reading the book long ago, Jane had long blonde hair.

I just love the formal attire—certainly not provided or advised by Abercrombie and Fitch! The Prof looks like he’s ready to join Ginger Rogers and start singing—“Top Hat and Tales”.

@quartermain, @phritzg – i was thinking Wilson till I saw the bows on his glasses (also bringing to mind an exchange I had in “Arsenic and Old Lace” about Woodrow Wilson and “something I might meet in the jungle.”)

Yo-ho-ho……and here we go! If Jane Porter drank from the fountain of youth as Tarzan did she’s probably out galavanting about the “civilized” world with many suitors in tow! She looks just like a younger USAF Major NNN-Y. A top-hatted politician or judge, a mid-Western US Marshall, the Great Gatsby or Tom Swift, and a scared Aunt Jemimah—-but watch out for her big wooden spoon—-now THAT’S in interesting group plodding with Cap’n Quartermain into the jungle………:)=
