For many years GA was always one of the, if not THE most favorite of all the “funnies”. I guess this is the the version for the younger readers of today. Too bad.

ABC has cancelled two not sure of last one due to costs. The replacement on now are suffering in ratings. Worse then soaps with a story line. more TV’s are being shut off.

Stacy is cute, but the term “pencil-neck” won’t leave me.

Not all , but most of the whiners that you find irritating are looong time followers of GA. I find the “champions” of the art work (which is is uneven) somewhat irritating but I skip over them quickly.

Funny thing is that many scholars believe that GA was the original soap.

The loss of the soaps has been painful to theatre; lots of NYC actors subsidized their real careers by doing “As the World Turns” or “All My Children”. But the soaps have been going down ever since the OJ trial.

I’ve been reading today’s and yesterday’s strips and this is the second one to mention a “slop”. The other was today’s Li’l Abner.
