Find pennies in the grocery store parking lot all the time. Can’t remember the last time I found 25c though. Husband found a $1 bill while walking the dog in a neighbourhood park last week.
I found a brand new $50 bill on aisle 7 at Home Depot several months ago. I turned it in to Customer Service in case someone came looking. But I’ll bet the two clerks in Customer Service used it to go out to a really nice lunch after I left.
david_42: Looks like I got censored again! Trying to keep up with Canadian terminology, I mentioned thinking the Canadian deuce was called a doubleloon because a loon is on the reverse of the $1 coin. The $2, having a polar bear, was referred to as the Queen on front with a bear behind. We will now see if it goes through this time, or I get banned for life like Dogsniff.

I have often been a coin short of the price of something. If only I’d kept looking down. I once found £20.

I still find pennies on the ground. Found one (face side up) in the parking lot of Sam’s Wholesale this past Sunday.

Well, I don’t remember what the exchange rate was in 1978.
The term “mate” was meant sarcastically where I grew up and often led to a fight. I’m sure you didn’t mean it that way.gforgina almost 13 years ago

My personal Plugger still picks up every filthy, walked on penny he sees. Old habits die hard.

I found over $30 on the ground last year. I know because it all goes in a special bank and gets donated to the SPCA at the end of the year.
