That picture of Chuck Connors is from the 1974 movie “99 and 44/100% Dead.” Wikipedia says he played Marvin “The Claw” Zuckerman, a deranged killer who had his missing left hand replaced with a multipurpose killing gizmo.
This person is gloomy sad because s/he:1) is experiencing major ear worm?2) has an iPod stuck on repeat?3) is listening to an old transistor radio that only picks of AM?4) does’t even own an iPod and can only listen to an old transistor radio? My, the possibilities are endless.
When I was a kid in New York, Canada Dry ginger ale actually tasted like ginger. It had a bite to it that made it a lovely drink. Nowadays, I have a hard time telling ginger ales apart from Sprite.
If you were more of a Get-Out-And-Do-Stuffas opposed to a Wade-Along-The-Beach-Drinking-A-Diet-Coke-While-Wearing-Cool-Movie-Star-Shades type of outdoorswoman, you’d know that’s not just a pile of rocks, but a CAIRN.
Hikers (and, more importantly, rafters who have become hikers through a serious of unfortunate incidents) find them very helpful.
I love turtles too, but we don’t require or encourage anyone to soil their knees in reverence. See how they recoil and flee (albeit slowly) from worship. There are much better ways to come to the humble wisdom of the turtle, and judging by the prostrated ones flashy red truck with the fancy hood ornament and air horn, he is just beginning on his path. Take it easy now…

No matter what he did for the rest of his career, Don Johnson was The Boy in “A Boy And His Dog”. Teflon for lameness points.

Thanks, Teresa. When I saw the Chuck Connors picture, I thought he was ready to make frog applesauce (which is how I read the words in today’s image).
I couldn’t find the original of the 1922 picture. A modified version turned up here:

but there’s no information on the girl herself (the label says “Caroline,” but that could mean the box was a gift for a girl named Caroline.)

Wow! The Frog App for 2012. Don’t know what it does, but I want one. Is it compatible with the iPod Touch?
