Wally, Holly, Linda and Flask might have been saved from their untimely demise, but the drama and story aren’t over yet!

So, the ultimate objective was to capture Mallard’s unique piece of Endtowner technology, now under the persona of Petey?

the dittos arent organic as i thought they were?they could be something the people on that ship made

these people could even be a new side we havent seen before (so far we only seen topsiders and mutants )

so far we still dont know who made mutant virus we know who made those weapons the topsiders use from sparkplug flashback but we dont know anything about the virus

this could go in any direction ..!!! i love this!

Well, will it be Mallard or members of another mutant colony in this aircraft? Perhaps they are also friendly with the dittos.What happened to the friendly PT that our heroes were in?

And they didn’t need very sophisticated technology either. A weighted net!

Suppose someone’s already mentioned this, but there’s also the fact that it suddenly appears to be a bright sunny day with puffy clouds in the sky..

Okay… an alien abduction. But it’s a NICE alien abduction. After our favourite charactes have been gunned down and reduced to piles of dust before our eyes, EVERYTHING’s an improvement.Seriously, I for one feel – and I wonder if others agee – that I’m being taken kindly through a journey, and steadied by the firm and gentle guidance of a master story teller. And after having steeled my faith to get me through the spirit-wrenching crisis of the recent weeks, and having had my faith rewarded by the final outcome, I feel as if I’m strong enough to make my way through anything there is. This has truly been a growth experience. It’s very rare to find that in a story.

i’m gonna go out on a rather long (and potentially very precarious) limb and say petey is going to be very pleasantly surprised by this capture

My first question to the aliens: “Now, look, do you have ANY food other than beans? You do?!!! Great! WE COME IN PEACE!”

Hooray! It’s the visiting Mutants from Japan! They all turned into anime characters!

I am wondering what that net is made of. We’ve just seen Petey demolish an (admittedly) hollow-but-full-size rocket single handed.

Ok. There are more things in heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in my little brain. That’s why we have Aaron! :-) I’m gonna hazard a guess that bolo capture nets are NOT standard issue TS technology and coupled with the fact that the standard TS doctrine seems to be shoot twice and don’t bother asking questions, whoever launched that little beauty was not a member of the biosuit brigade

I feel safe in stating at this point that we are now in the presence of what Flask and Wally saw 2 weeks ago. Perhaps their chins are no longer on the floor. But what inquiring minds really want to know is: Has Flask managed to re-acquire the ability to speak? The Blackie Blackout is now officially at 74 panels and counting…

This is absolutely what was seen above by Flask and Wally. Something that neither had seen before – and we’re talking head of security and someone who wandered the great waste almost the entire length of the time it’s BEEN a great waste. If neither of them know what it is…

I’ve said before this storyline seems a game-changer. This could be a very good reason why.

do you think this could be another group/faction? (cant find the righ word)a group of people who arent topsiders or underground living mutants (maybe a group of humans who never got exposed to the virus and mutants)

We know! there are other survivor towns from in the vicinity from the names on Mallard’s communicator. The Topsider’s were a different set of survivors from the mutant’s own part of the world. It is a large world with room for friends and enemies at any level of technology.

“BLAM”? “FWAP!!”?? Don’t TELL me you haven’t been reading Don Martin again!!

Jenner – I always enjoy your ‘musical’ posts, but today’s contribution, which resurrected many fond memories of “The Greatest American Hero” is my favorite … so far!

I also have to agree with jerseycajun – I did NOT see this coming. Oh how I hate the way Friday cliffhangers diminish my weekends!

How do you think I feel? I generally read Monday’s strip the first thing of the day at work. That means I can’t wait for my weekend to be over, so I can GO TO WORK and see how the cliffhanger starts to unfold!?! What’s wrong with this picture?

As to todays strip, I have no idea what’s going on. Could be just about anybody or anything. Com’on Monday!

Let’s assess this logically:dittos – something oldthis “thing” Wally saw – something…new,Petey – something borrowed (his brain by TS, his body from Mallard),Us – something blue (cause it’s Friday).OMG! That’s it! Flask and Petey are getting married! Gosh, I just love logical analysis! ;-)

hmm… looks like it IS a balloon! though, no one with a sniper rifle.

The way this is drawn, you’d think the comic was far from serious.

Not serious! Somebody needs a visit from the security rats.

Notice how this was the perfect weapon to use against PETEY. His propeller caught the weights and closed the net. This may have been planned in advance.

There’s only one thing I can say about today’s strip right now…ALIENS!!!!!

Sparkplug? Mallard?…we hope…

How about… a renegade group of topsiders who actually like mutants because they have friends and family members who are mutants. Petey, who was Flask’s significant other was working for them on the inside when he was discovered and re-purposed as a transporter. Given my track record for anticipating Aaron’s impending plot directions, I wouldn’t bet on it… :-)

Somehow I am thinking whatever nabbed Petey has Flask, Linda, Wally and Holly aboard. Hopefully as operators, not captives! But then, that may just be a tad too obvious!

Received my mail from you. I was so excited I wandered around to everyone I know to show them. I don’t wonder well, so it took me a while. Be prepared to accept a small box from me within the month. I have decided I love you….. Because of the art of course.

They’re going to put a radio collar on Petey and turn him back into the wild. I think they want to study his mating habits. If they give him a probe, they’ll find he’s a metal can with a human head inside, and they could end up poking him up the nose.

I utterly agree, Jenner… To be hurled into sorrow, then uplifted into wondrous hopefulness by these exciting new events is truly masterful…

And by the way,…you exhibit these traits yourself too, as a creator of fine comics, don’t forget…

Not only am I delighted by the possibility that our heroes still live, but I am undeniably eager to see what new players in this game are going to be revealed to be!

There could also be a “Chrysalids” aspect to it… some rescuers from a region that was not affected by the war. Sticking with the Sparkplug theory for now though…

I thought his top propeller would have cut the ropes. waiting to see who it is!
