Love Calvin. But, I think the first frame was just a trash truck going by. Glad those animals are friendly, though and not meat eaters!!

I was just drafting my comment, and then noticed that I am thinking the exact opposite re frame structure.It is very Mondrian, have a look at the “Framed Collectible Print”. It would look great on a wall.

After those dinos were there, somebody might need to clean the yard too. . ..

For my part, I DO like this unconventional structure, not everything has to be or look like the other. Really.

Sounds like kuren444, Ottodesu, and Lovecraft are involved in a panel discussion.I also like today’s panel arrangement, because the large panel allows Bill Watterson to portray the enormity of the dinosaurs relative to Calvin. Reminds me of being astonished the first time I stood under the skeleton of a brontosaurus.

Calvin’s mom tells him to go clean his room if he’s bored. I think that’s a reference to Mother’s Day, since this strip was originally published on Mother’s Day, 1992.

Happy Mother’s Day to all out there (and I include myself). I only wish we knew what Calvin would have been like in high school and then college. As the parent of a recent college graduate, I CAN safely say"WHEW!!!" ….Now what?

Hobbes thank you for the Mother’s Day Greeting (I too am one, No grandma as forever) . My Mother’s Day has started out great. Church I go to will honor moms than meet with family mom included to dine out. Too expensive to really go but are.

I have not been on as much for comments. I would read strips some I did not. I was busy, yes past tense, with on-line subject of Comp I. I was told and yet had a hard time understanding, I think too much on writing. I have not recieved my final grade until Monday. So far 86% and final essay 90%. Comp I was not easy for me. Instructor informs me I need to freestyle write. I had another student assist me by going over what I written and help me in my own words made better.
