Today’s Blog was great. The “Brother Where Art Thou?” clip of maybe Clooney’s and the Coen Brothers’ best movie. Did you know the story is a “modernized” version of The Odyssey? My favorite line, “We thought you was a toad,”

The Russian dancers were so good…I’d swear they were on wheels under those beautiful dresses. Thanks, Teresa.
I always thought Fred Basset was cute, but you have to look at it through a British lens. My tastes tend toward the bizarre, so I probably wouldn’t have complained. I think most of the saccharine strips out there are a waste of space, but I know a lot of people like them. Since I haven’t touched a newspaper in years, it’s sort of a moot issue for me – I read things like Jane’s World, Jack, Sinfest, and the indescribaby evil Frog Applause.
beviek, I saw your post of late yesterday and I saw the September post it referred to (yes, in September, not going back now). As I remember, someone else said something about that spot too. I was surprised that three of us reading one comic online were aware of a hilltop whose access wasn’t all that obvious.
They could’ve put a movie scene in OBWAT, flickering B&W, with one of those titles. Good idea. I’ll have to check out that movie, Needz. Just subscribed to Netflix, so maybe they will have it. I can do my Kegel exercises while I’m watching. :-)
The Blog: No Toothpaste… : It looks like they are also trying to recycle the washing water. For those (myself included) who don’t have an intuitive feel for the metric system, 0.5 cm is roughly half the length of my fingernail. Hope they don’t eat imported Norwegian herring for breakfast in N. Korea.
Loved the Russian dancers, T. – posted on FB. They remind me, perhaps strangely, of those exercise/dances (“movements”) that Gurdjieff brought to Europe in the 1920s or so. Take a look at ‘em on YouTube, they’re oddly beautiful not to mention incredibly difficult to perform; that’s the whole idea: requiring supreme concentration/consciousness during the activity.

Kegels in unison: I’m thinking Flash Mob (in more ways than one).

The guy in the toon looks a bit like James Wood. Word around Hollywood is that he is known for having a rather large unit.

Teresa, I can give you stats … which BTW are up more than 22% in 2011 than in 2010. Email me.
